On Sunday, October 15, beginning at 6 p.m., Barbuzzo’s second floor private event space (110 South 13th Street) will be host to a Sunday Night Supper Club with special guest, Philadelphia-native and celebrated cabaret singer & comedienne Karen Gross.
For the evening, Chef Marcie Turney will prepare a four-course, Italian-style menu a la the movie “Big Night” and beginning at 8 p.m., Gross will debut a new comedic cabaret performance, featuring iconic and unexpected songs, served with a side of playful, sassy humor.
The evening, with one seating at 5:45 p.m., is $75 per person for the dinner and show, but not including beverages, tax and gratuity. Tickets can be purchased by visiting: www.barbuzzo.eventbrite.com.
Karen Gross has been featured at premier Philadelphia and New York City-area venues, including the Lincoln Center, the Kimmel Center, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Sellersville Theatre as a special guest for acclaimed comedian Robert Klein. Imagine the sophistication of Ella Fitzgerald, with a dash of Bette Midler’s sass, plus a helping of Carole King’s heart and soul, and you’ll get a sense of Gross’ not-to-be-missed cabaret experience.
