Horn & Hardart Giving Away Free Coffee This Friday

Horn & Hardart National Coffee Day

Horn & Hardart, the legendary company that revolutionized the coffee business in the U.S., is celebrating National Coffee Day this Friday by offering two irresistible giveaways that will have java lovers all perked up about the return of the iconic Philadelphia brand.

The company will be giving away free cups of its delicious signature Liberty Roast blend in Rittenhouse Square between noon and 2 p.m. and free bags and K-Cups® online on Friday, September 29th beginning at 9 a.m.

For the online giveaway, the first 500 visitors to the Horn & Hardart website will receive complimentary freshly roasted coffee (a $12-$16 value) by simply using the code “CoffeeDay.” Visitors can chose from whole bean/ground classic Liberty Roast, decaf, espresso, or a 12-pack gift box of K-Cups®.

Ever since the company re-entered the coffee business by introducing a new e-commerce site several months ago, the coffee world has been abuzz about the return of this American classic.

Horn & Hardart was founded in 1888 in Philadelphia. The very first Automat opened in 1902 at 8th & Chestnut Streets, forever changing the way people ordered and dined in restaurants. While the last Automat closed its doors in 1991 coffee lovers can still savor that same delicious cup of coffee now delivered to their doorsteps!
