The festival you didn’t know you were missing is coming – the 1st Annual Philadelphia Taco Festival is happening on Saturday, May 13th at Sugar House Casino.

And it’s way more than tacos… highlights include:

• Over 30 taco vendors;

• Cooking demonstrations;

• Eating contests;

• Tequila Expo (over 30 tequila brands with samplings galore!);

• Margarita Bar (yay margaritas!);

• Live Entertainment (mariachi bands with dance troupe performances, DJs and Lucha Libre wrestling!);

• Kids Fun Zone (fun for the whole family, natch)

Times are:

• 12:30PM-6PM (General Admission*)

• 11AM-6PM (VIP)

Keep in mind that tacos and beverages are pay-as-you-go for General Admission and after 2PM for VIPs. According to the Facebook event, here’s what to expect:

You’ll find over 30 of the area’s best restaurants & food purveyors dishing out a variety of unlimited $3 tacos (sold separately). There will be cash bars and beverage stations serving margaritas, beer, water, soda & more. All non-alcoholic related items will work on a voucher system – so you will purchase vouchers at ticket stations and use those as cash. Vendors will be on hand to sell other food (cotton candy, cakes, desserts, etc) as well. ATMs will be on-site.

*GENERAL ADMISSION tickets are available for $14.99. Previous $9.99 pre-sale tickets sold out quickly. Buy now before they go up to $19.99 soon! This guarantees your entry between 12:30PM-6PM with unlimited $3 tacos and cash bar.

Limited VIP tickets are available for $69.99. This guarantees your entry between 11AM-6PM. So you get in 90 minutes before GA. The VIP ticket includes a 2 hour open bar (Noon-2PM), 5 taco vouchers, a bottle of hot sauce, tequila shot glass & VIP tent with private bathrooms & bar.
