Snap Kitchen — Making Salad Great Again!
Ever since Snap Kitchen opened in the Philly area in 2016, it’s been a godsend to those who need a quick, healthy and delicious meal on the go or simply because they don’t feel cooking.
Earlier in the year, as they were opening the Old City location, we had the opportunity to sample several yummy Snap Kitchen entrees and dishes. We were impressed by the sheer variety, flavor, and quality of the meals. The model is really simple — just grab and go! And they really do have something for everyone no matter the lifestyle or dietary restriction.
On July 31st, Snap Kitchen launched 8 new grain bowls and salads that are convenient, healthy and — best of all — don’t break the bank! They’re calling the promotion “This Is How We Salad” and it couldn’t be more uncomplicated:
8 salads x 5 premium proteins = 40 ways to mix & match.
Snap Kitchen executive chefs and dietitians obsessed over flavor, nutrition and unique and healthy ingredients such as forbidden rice, hemp seeds, and coconut bacon to create salad bases that would appeal to many.
On top of that, the new salad menu gives the choice to add protein – grilled chicken, almond-crusted chicken, grilled beef, poached shrimp, and grilled tofu.
At the end of the day, there’s 40 different ways to mix and match to find your perfect salad. Simple, healthy and delicious. Can’t go wrong with that, eh?
They reached out to see if we’d be into trying a few samples. Of course we graciously accepted that offer. Can’t eat like a hedonist all the time!
We tried the Raw Rainbow with Miso Carrot Dressing, Summer Fling with Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing, and Roots & Grains with Red Wine Vinaigrette salads with a sampling of all of the proteins.
My personal favorite was the Summer Fling with Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing with Tofu and Grilled Chicken. David loved the Roots & Grains with Poached Shrimp. But really; we loved them all. You just can’t go wrong with any of them in any combination.
If you’re looking for something quick & healthy; something on the lighter side to beat the heat this summer – these Snap Kitchen salads are for you. Seriously – click on that link – and then head to the Snap Kitchen closest to you!
Snap Kitchen has 4 locations in the city — Fairmount, Midtown Village, Old City, and Rittenhouse Square; one in Villanova. And, luckily for us, one is set to open soon to in Cherry Hill, NJ! We’re literally chomping at the bit for that one to open.
We highly recommend trying these salads. Hell, just get yourself to Snap Kitchen if you haven’t already!
