Twin brother co-owners Davide and Gianni Primavera will add an outdoor kitchen to their sprawling contemporary bar and lounge called P² Lounge at Macaroni’s.

Gianni and David Primavera of Macaroni's in Northeast Philly

This spring, after 23 successful years in business, Davide Primavera and Chef Gianni Primavera will debut a gorgeous new outdoor kitchen and lounge at P² (“P_Square”) Lounge, as the casual sister to their beloved Macaroni’s Restaurant.

The new outdoor kitchen includes a custom brick oven where Chef Gianni and his team will prepare and serve a menu of pizzas and other casual, share-able fare right before guests’ eyes.

Shareable dishes, crafted from fresh local ingredients, will change often, and may include:

  • Brick Oven Pizza, including Margherita, Funghi and Sausage.

  • Raw Bar selections, including oysters, a daily-changing fresh crudo, tuna tartare and shrimp and crab cocktail

  • Lobster Roll with pickled chili and lemon aioli on a brioche bun

  • Grilled Eggplant Sandwich with house-fried peppers, fresh mozzarella, basil and white bean hummus on a sesame roll

  • Black Truffle Arancini with arugula pesto, parmesan and lemon vinaigrette

Designed by Gianni’s wife Gosia Primavera, an architect, P² is a hidden gem that features a variety of seating options, allowing guests to choose from a traditional sit-down meal or a more relaxed cocktail gathering, all in one of Philadelphia’s loveliest outdoor settings.

Around each corner, guests find relaxed high-top tables, a cozy lounge beneath the glittering light strands of the pergola, and larger communal tables that comfortably accommodate groups of all sizes, all surrounded by leafy plantings that create a sense of privacy.

The space is also ideal for private parties of all sizes, and heating and air conditioning make the enclosable bar available to groups year-round.

Visit the P² website for more information and stay tuned for official opening date soon!
