On Saturday, December 5 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., food and travel writer Beth D’Addono, a longtime contributor to local Philadelphia publications, including the Daily News and Philly.com, will sign her new book, The HUNT New Orleans, at South Kitchen & Jazz Parlor (600 North Broad Street).
The HUNT is a tightly curated travel guide series from Gatehouse Publishing that focuses on an eclectic mix of independently owned dining and shopping destinations, as well as memorable lifestyle experiences and activities in each city. This guide features the places that make New Orleans truly vibrant, adding soul and character to the city’s diverse neighborhoods. D’Addono, who first fell in love with New Orleans and started writing about the city in 1991, is now based in the city’s Marigny neighborhood.
“New Orleans is a great city for food and music, which is why SOUTH is a perfect setting for this book signing,” said D’Addono. “Chef Martin grew up eating Louisiana cuisine; his gumbo is still his mama’s recipe! And Robert and Benjamin Bynum have been leaders in Philadelphia’s jazz scene since the days of their legendary Zanzibar Blue on Spruce Street. SOUTH is exactly the kind of independently owned, forward-thinking restaurant that I featured in The HUNT New Orleans.”
The HUNT New Orleans will be available online at Amazon.com and at selected bookstores and lifestyle boutiques around the world, retailing for $12.
