• Al Zaytouna (906 Christian Street; next to Sabrina’s Cafe) is now open much to my delight! I haven’t tried it yet, but since it’s so close to where I live, it won’t be long. Pictures and menu on Meal Ticket.
  • In case you missed it, The Witch in Pennsport closed. There’s much speculation about what should take its place. Personally, I think a more casual gastropub would work there. Along the lines of Royal Tavern, Standard Tap, or Pub & Kitchen.
  • Lastly, I have to wonder who the restaurant owner is behind @phl_restaurant? While I enjoy the humorous tone of some their tweets, bitching anonymously on a social networking site about those who bitch on social networking sites makes total sense? BTW – he/she DOES have a point. Too many whiners on Yelp.
