Cheese cook-off to be hosted at World Cafe Live during Philly Beer Week
On Sunday, June 5th, The 1st Annual Philadelphia Cheese Experiment will showcase Philly’s finest amateur chefs pushing the culinary boundaries of cheese by creating their own special savory or sweet cheese-based dishes. All in all, over 20 home chefs will face off in an epic cheese showdown for a chance to win cash & prizes, culinary glory, and a round-trip ticket to New York City to compete in the Food Experiments All Star Competition at Brooklyn Brewery.
And to make us feel good about this event, a portion of the proceeds will go to The Food Trust of Philadelphia.
Competition slots are still open!
Think you have what it takes to create the winning cheesy dish, sign up to compete!
If you just want to watch & taste, tickets are available online. (Psst, they’re cheap!)
The winner of the competition will be selected by attendees and a professional judging panel including:
- Tony Luke of Tony Luke’s
- Emilio Mignucci of Di Bruno Bros.
- Maria Valetta of The Philly Dish
