Cheesesteaks for Charity on Monday Nights at The Farm and Fisherman Tavern in Horsham

Chef Josh Lawler of The Farm and Fisherman Tavern loves cheesesteaks. The 2012 James Beard Foundation finalist (Best New Restaurant) loves the classic Philly sandwich so much, that he has decided to open on Monday nights just to offer five creative variations of the cheesesteak in an effort to raise money for a beloved, local farm while sprinkling some additional excitement into the restaurant located at 575 Horsham Road within Horsham Center.

Monday Night Cheesesteaks at The Farm & The Fisherman in Horsham, PA.

Offered in the tavern area of the restaurant only, which includes barstools, high tops, and banquette tables, Chef Lawlerโ€™s five rotating cheesesteaks will be available on Monday nights indefinitely. The cheesesteaks will also be offered to-go via online ordering only. The restaurant will be open from 5 to 10 p.m., and the regular menu will not be available during that time.

First week options include Classic (ribeye, Cooper sharp, onions); Vegetarian Smoky Mushroom (sauteed mushroom mix, Cooper sharp, mushroom vinaigrette); Italian (half crumbled Italian sausage, half beef, marinara, mozzarella); Classic Buffalo Chicken (chicken, buffalo sauce, Cooper sharp, crumbled blue cheese); and Classic with spinach and mushrooms. Sandwiches cost $13 apiece, and include either sliced ribeye or chicken breast. Seeded rolls will be made fresh using the Backdoor Pizza dough from The Farm and Fishermanโ€™s Cherry Hill location.

In addition to the cheesesteaks, a variety of chicken wing options, along with sides including baskets of French fries and onion rings with a selection of sauces will be available Mondays as well.

For the month of January, Monday night cheesesteak sales will benefitย Pennypackย Farm, which is located 1.5 miles from the restaurant and helps provide nutritious food to community members who are food insecure.

The Farm & Fisherman originally opened at 1120 Pine Street in Philadelphia in 2011, earning the restaurant James Beard Foundation semifinalist honors for โ€œBest New Restaurantโ€ in 2012. The New American restaurant, located within the Horsham Center shopping plaza, offers a locally-sourced menu and regional craft beers Tuesdays through Sundays for lunch and dinner in addition to the new Monday night addition.
