Have you ever wanted to sift through a basket of ingredients on Food Network’s Chopped? Do you yell at the television when they use the ice cream machine on Top Chef? Are you soothed by a good Show Stopper on the Great British Baking Show? Then, set those ovens to 350° and live out your culinary reality show dreams in Dinner! Franny and Connor Wrote a Cookbook, coming to Philadelphia Fringe this September.

Produced through Cannonball Festivals’s Snack Track for Small Audiences, Dinner! Franny and Connor Wrote a Cookbook is an interactive cooking show live-directed by self-described food influencers with no prior knowledge of the ingredients, but a deep passion for food. High cuisine meets low class in this intimate and improvised cooking experience!
Throughout the COVID-19 shutdown, Connor Hogan and Francesca Chilcote, two food-obsessed idiots, created Dinner! Franny and Connor Write a Cookbook, a digital cooking show for small audiences. In these Zoom experiences, our two favorite foodie fools collaborated with folks from across the country on improvised recipes based on the ingredients found in the audience’s pantries.
Described by No Proscenium as a “light… fun… and altogether enjoyable [experience],” this digital performance returns for a limited in-person engagement this fall in which Franny and Connor will debut their audience’s pandemic recipes in a new cookbook which is now available wherever you can find books
Dinner! (Din-ner-Ex-cluh-may-shun-point) is part dinner party-part book launch event but a total clown show. Interactive cooking demonstrations bring the audience into the kitchen with these idiot chefs to build something truly unique based on surprise ingredients. In doing so, the audience examines the ways in which food inspires our senses and the stories that we share through collaborative cooking. The show culminates with a communal tasting of a completely original recipe shared with a small audience.
Join Connor and Franny at the Fidget Kitchen Space (1714 N Mascher St, Philadelphia, PA 19122) for a dinner (or brunch) of culinary antics! Limited tickets are available for the dates below!
