My friend Mark Matthews over at 42Freeway.com got the scoop about Rocco’s Italian Sausages and Cheesesteaks expanding to South Jersey.
Rocco’s is an institution at several Home Depot locations in the greater Philadelphia area. What started at a food stand, first in Queens, NY, then at the South Philly and Port Richmond Home Depots, has grown into 11 locations in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The new Rocco’s in Camden County will be the first location in New Jersey.
Rocco’s Italian Sausages and Cheesesteaks will open its first South Jersey location outside the Home Depot at 310 White Horse Pike Suite 1 in Lawnside, NJ. According to owner Daniel Winter, it is the first of many in New Jersey as the company continues a careful expansion plan, including franchises. Construction is currently underway at the Lawnside outpost, and they are shooting to open in February.

Please note that there are already two Rocco’s Steaks in Camden County, NJ, they are not related and are owned by different people. I don’t think there will be any confusion, but just wanted to mention it.
