Philly Grub

Salt & Vinegar is a new retail shop opening soon-ish in the Bella Vista neighborhood of South Philly at 905 Christian Street in the former Superior Pasta Company spot.

Owner Jen Honovic Herczeg stated that Salt & Vinegar would debut as a pop-up store in December before becoming fully operational in January, pending inspections and permits.

According to the website, “Our vision is to create a shop that is part healthy grab & go spot for the neighborhood and part retail destination for local food, beverages, and gifts.”

It will also serve as a launch pad and testing ground for startups, emerging brands, and those from traditionally marginalized and underrepresented groups.

Shop categories will include:

healthy and plant-based grab-and-go (prepared salads, apps, entrees, snacks)

options for families and kids

women, LGBTQ, minority, immigrant-owned businesses

locally owned/made/sourced

fun & functional beverages

condiments, jams, salt, spices, etc

snacks & chips

coffee & tea

ice cream, frozen meals

candles, soap, home goods

holiday items, cards & gifts

entertaining, linens, tableware, etc

flowers & plants

pickup location for pre-orders, special/limited products or CSA/memberships
