Calming Treats Making Summer Perfect For Precious Pets

Stephenie Harris grew up on a Bucks County farm caring for horses and the usual collection of barnyard animals. “When you grow up on a farm, dealing with animals is such a routine occurrence that you get really good at understanding and to some extent communicating with them,” says Stephenie Harris who gave up the NYC hustle, bustle, and nightlife to return to her roots on another Bucks County farm.

“When I started to work in commercial hemp farming since it was Federally legalized back in 2018, I envisioned a lot of interesting products, since for 30,000 years people have been using hemp for fuel oils, natural remedies, building materials, and industrial essentials like heavy-duty ropes,” says Harris.

As the operations and product boss at Sugar Bottom Farm — a hemp agribusiness with separate private horse training, riding facilities, and stables in Bucks County — Stephenie still deals with her share of domesticated and roaming wild critters.

“As a farmer and pet owner, I realized quickly that there was a great opportunity to use the positive calming effects of the CBD content of hemp to help animals get over their nervousness and anxiety in unfamiliar situations and surroundings.”

Working under the guidance of Veterinary professionals, Stephenie developed a line of tinctures and treats for dogs and cats. And the results have been amazing.

“Our regular customers love the Sugar Bottom pet treats and tinctures because they don’t alter the natural personality or energy of the dog or cat, but just smooth out the rough patches when they tend to become uneasy,” says Stephenie.

These Calming Pet Treats are veterinarian-formulated with full spectrum hemp extract grown on Sugar Bottom’s farm in Furlong, PA. Each treat has 10mg of full spectrum CBD with Ginger, Chamomile, Passionflower, L-Theanine, and Tryptophan. All ingredients are organic and known to promote relaxation.

Pet owners are encouraged to consult their veterinarian before starting any treatment.
