Warehouse Lager (4.5% ABV), a Keystone Beer at Neshaminy Creek and part of their year-round core lineup, took first place out of 231 entries in the International Pilsener or International Lager category. It’s a pale golden Mexican-style lager with a clean, grainy malt character with a subtle sweetness and a crisp, dry finish with a whisper of German noble hops. It’s available in cans and on draft at Neshaminy Creek’s taprooms in Croydon, New Hope, and Dublin, as well as bottle shops throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.

Returning after cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic, the 2022 World Beer Cup, held in Minneapolis, Minn., was the largest competition to date, with 10,542 entries from 2,493 breweries representing 57 countries. Entries were evaluated by an elite panel of 226 judges from 28 countries. The Brewers Association has been recognizing individuals who inspire, defend, and innovate within the craft brewing industry since 1987, and the awards are widely regarded as the “Olympics of Beer.”

“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world taking home the top prize in this category,” says Head Brewer, Jason Ranck. “Not only do I get to spend my best waking hours designing beers, but I can also walk around the corner and buy our beer on a shelf and see other people in our taproom enjoying it every day after work. Then I get the opportunity to compete on a world stage. I am so unbelievably proud, not only of myself but everyone on our amazing crew of talented brewers and everyone at Neshaminy Creek that makes what we do possible. Gold for Warehouse Lager at World Beer Cup! Absolutely unreal!”
