John’s Water Ice, which just opened for the season at its Bella Vista shop at 701 Christian Street, is already off to a great year. A few weeks ago, they announced the launch of a second water ice truck, which will be set up at events and locations throughout the city.
Today, they announced they will be opening a new brick & mortar at 2975 Philmont Avenue in Huntington Valley, PA. According to the Instagram post, this location will be a full dessert shop with soft ice cream, sundaes, and toppings.
John’s Water Ice has been a Philadelphia water ice institution since 1945. They might be over 70 years old, but nothing is slowing them down. God bless ’em!
