The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia Celebrates 20 Years on the Avenue of the Arts
Happy 20th to The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia! 🎉

I have had the pleasure of dining at The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia at 10 Avenue of the Arts a few times over the years. I enjoyed a sumptuous afternoon tea there once, which probably spoiled me for any afternoon tea I will ever have again. I also had a fabulous fine dining experience at Aqimero.

It makes me happy that The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia is celebrating 20 years in the City of Brotherly Love. The luxury hotel has hosted a few dining spots over the past two decades, including 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by Eric Ripert, which launched the culinary career of Jennifer Carroll, who went on to compete on Bravo’s Top Chef, work in both NYC and DC, and now owns and operates Spice Finch in Rittenhouse Square.

There was also The Grill in what is now The Exchange, and The Vault, which was an intimate bar and cigar lounge. Both were short-lived with 10 Arts having the longest tenure at the hotel.

Aqimero, an upscale Latin American concept by Chef Richard Sandoval, has been located inside of the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia for over four years. The focal point of this restaurant features a wood-burning grill that executes Latin American flavor in a modern way in a stunning atmosphere.

The building itself, a former bank, is nearly 120 years old and blends classic charm with contemporary style. In 2016, it underwent a $25 million redesign. We are so lucky to have such a historic building featuring one of the finest luxury hotels in Philadelphia. It’s a must-visit when in Center City.

Here’s to at least 20 more years of unforgettable #RCMemories!
