Booze News: Philadelphia Distilling Cocktail Kits Now Available

Gov. Tom Wolf signed legislation allowing temporary cocktails-to-go today. Philadelphia Distilling announced it is offering to-go cocktail kits being packaged by out of work Philadelphia bartenders.

In addition to its own bartenders, Philadelphia Distilling has hired local bartenders who have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic to assemble the cocktail kits by hand. As a result, each time you purchase a cocktail kit from Philadelphia Distilling, you’re supporting a local bartender.

Each kit includes two or three bottles of base spirit from Philadelphia Distilling (Bluecoat Gin, Penn 1681 Vodka), four bottles of a mixer, and citrus for garnish. For example, the “O.GnT” includes two 750ml bottles of Bluecoat Gin, four 6.7 oz bottles of Q Tonic, and two fresh oranges for the signature O.GnT garnish.

Other favorites include Elderflower Spritz, Gin Moscow Mule, and Gin Grapefruit Spritz. The kits range in price from $57-$64.

The complete collection of cocktail kits can be found and purchased at BlucoatGin.Store.

How to get them:

  • Curbside pickup or no-touch drive-thru (free) at Philadelphia Distilling’s Fishtown distillery
  • Local delivery in Philadelphia ($15; delivery orders must be placed by 1pm to receive same-day delivery, and our drivers will arrive between 2pm and 7pm)
  • Flat rate shipping throughout the entire state of PA ($10)
  • Cocktail kits from Philadelphia Distilling are available in PA only.

    1. I have never been a gin drinker until I drank Bluecoat Gin. I love it. Your new bottle took me by surprise, but love it. Great taste.
