Guest Post: Festive Thanksgiving Cocktails

Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner with family, attending as a guest or throwing a special Friendsgiving, these cocktail recipes will bring the laughs, smiles and good memories this season.

Vanilla Hot Toddy

Vanilla Hot Toddy

  • 1 ½ oz Crown Royal Vanilla Flavored Whisky

  • 1 tsp fine grain sugar

  • 2 small cloves

  • 1 ½ oz boiling water

  • Cinnamon stick (optional)

Combine Crown Royal Vanilla, fine grain sugar, and cloves in old-fashioned glass or mug. Add 1-2 oz (or more, if desired) boiling water and stir. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired.

Grey Goose Old Fashioned

Grey Goose Old Fashioned

  • 2 oz Grey Goose Vodka

  • 2 tsp raw brown sugar

  • Dash hot water

  • Dash Angostura bitters

  • Orange zest

In a rocks glass add sugar and water, stir to dissolve. Add orange zest. Slowly trickle in Grey Goose and cubed ice, piece by piece, stirring throughout. Top with cubed ice to serve. Garnish with orange zest.

American Sour

American Honey Sour

  • 2 oz Wild Turkey American Honey

  • 1 oz lemon juice

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • Club soda

  • Lemon wheel

Combine first three ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Pour into a glass, and top with club soda. Garnish with lemon wheel.
