With only two weeks until the start of the Democratic National Convention, the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District is gearing up for a week of special events, deals, food and shopping fun, plus a special late-night neighborhood block party.
A special DNC-edition of the Passyunk Passeggiata Street Festival will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The Avenue will be closed from Broad Street to the Singing Fountain at Tasker Street, and filled with street food, outdoor bars, al fresco dining, vendors, and live music, as well as our weekly Farmers’ Market. Select shops and restaurants will be staying open until 1:00 a.m. to accommodate our DNC visiting delegates, with special bar menus, drink specials, and shopping promotions. Most specials will be available during the entire convention.

Bing Bing Dim Sum: Happy Hour Menu from 5-7 p.m. and 11 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. including: $5 Roast Pork Bao, Scarlet Dumplings, Sichuan Cucumbers, Pickles, Spicy Lamb Dumplings + $1 off draft beers, $2 Miller High Life, $5 Glasses of House wine, $6 Bartender’s choice cocktail, $10 off Happy Family Pitchers.

Birra: $5 house-made sangria and $3 selected craft draft beer, kitchen open until 1:00 a.m.

Black n Brew: $5 Draft Lattes and Black & Tans, open until 8:00 p.m.

Brigantessa: Special menu additions + pizza and full bar service until 1:00 a.m. with 20% off for delegates with credentials, available Monday thru Thursday.

Bottle Shop: Enjoy drinking under the stars with outdoor seating available, open noon – 11:00 p.m.

Cantina los Caballitos: Passeggiata Punch for $5 per glass + outside bar until 1:00 a.m.

Essen Bakery: Serving Israeli baked goods and coffee until 8:00 p.m.

Fond: $7 bar appetizers, $7 Passyunk Punch (Ancho Reyes, Solerno, Calvados, Pinot Grigio, orange, cranberry), $6 select wines and $5 draft beers.

Le Virtu: Open until 1:00 a.m. will full bar and outdoor service + screening of “I Ladri di Biciclette” (The Bicycle Thieves) set in Rome and directed by Vittorio De Sica, shown around dusk.

Noir: Outdoor bar with $4 well drinks, $1 off draft beer + Meatball Sandwiches, Sausage Sandwiches & Rice Balls until 1:00 a.m.

Noord: Menu will feature daily specials from the Fountain Farmers’ Market.

Palladino’s: Nightly watch parties July 25-28 until 1:00 a.m. with a $20.16 menu addition each night and a Yards Brewery “Presidential Series Flight & A Bite” for $5 each.

P.O.P.E. – $1 off drafts, entire menu available until 1:00 a.m.

P’unk Burger – $6 BYO (build your own) beef or veggie burger, toppings extra; $5 vanilla, chocolate, B&W (vanilla and Nutella) shakes; open until 1:00 a.m.
