Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, is celebrating National Empanada Day on Friday, April 8, 2016 with its annual $1 Empanada Happy Hour from 5 to 7 p.m. at the bar.
Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot‘s signature Mamá Amelia’s Empanadas, including chicken, beef picadillo, pulled pork and three-cheese, will be available for just $1 each, along with the regular Happy Hour drink & food specials including:

$5 caipirinhas

$4 sangria

$4 house wine

$4 beer

$4-5 tapas
Cuba Libre is taking the food holiday a step further by offering two additional empanada specials during lunch and dinner throughout the entire month of April, during what the restaurant has dubbed “National Empanada Month.”
These limited-time-only specials were the top-voted empanadas chosen in a Facebook contest, in which guests chose their favorite empanadas from a long menu created by Chef Pernot.
The winning empanada specials include:

Cataluña: Shrimp, creamy spinach, pine nuts

Del Jardín: Grilled artichoke hearts, salted cured tomatoes and feta cheese
