Philly Food Tweets Round-Up

Here’s a few of our favorite Philly food tweets of the week.

Blaze Pizza opened on the campus of Temple University and threw a free pizza party.

Speaking of pizza, Kermit’s Bake Shoppe introduced The Bruno, an epic pizza inspired by products procured at Di Bruno Bros. Ingredients include: Applewood smoked bacon, shredded brussels sprouts, truffle-scented crème fraiche,
FIVE kinds of cheeses (Fresh mozzarella, grana padano and pecorino, Fontina Val D’aosta, Fiore Sardo) and finished with fleur de sel, a truffle balsamic reduction and truffle honey. Good lord!

Bar Bombón launched weekend brunch. Can you say Bloody Maria? It will be bloody cold if you go tomorrow.

The Little Lion launched Happy Hour. It includes Buck-A-Shuck Oysters ($1 oysters!), Southern poutine (handcut fries tossed in dry rub, with house pork belly, short rib jus, housemade farmers cheese sauce, fried egg and scallion), spicy smoked chicken wings, and a $10 Lion Burger (sharp cheddar, bacon, pickled red onion, pimento cheese, butter lettuce, heirloom tomato, house made pickles).

Saté Kampar opened on East Passyunk Avenue. The Malyasian eatery will offer traditional saté cooked over a grill using coconut shell briquettes. Looks quite appetizing!

Zahav Restaurant is named Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in the US. OF COURSE DUH!

Have you been keeping up with the local contestants on Hell’s Kitchen this season? Chef Joe Ricci designed a tuna banh mi for Ippolito’s Seafood.

A Spotburgers “Original.” Just ‘cuz, Jawn.
