Saturday, April 28th will mark the 6th year for Flavors of the Avenue, a culinary event where twenty-one of East Passyunk Avenue’s award-winning restaurants offer samples of their signature dishes and drinks for four hours. A 2-block stretch of the Avenue, from Morris to Dickinson, will be blocked off for the event. Tickets are on sale now.
This year’s participating restaurants are: Belle Cakery, Birra, Cantina Los Caballitos, Chhaya, Chiarella’s, El Zarape, Fond, Fuel, Garage, Green Olives Cafe, Izumi, Kris, Le Virtu, Mamma Maria Ristorante, Marra’s, Ms. Goody Cupcake, Noir, Paradiso, South Philly Bar & Grill, Stogie Joe’s, and Tre Scalini.
In response to the success of last year, EPABID will again have a VIP Hour from Noon-1pm, which includes premium menu items, specialty cocktails and attendance limited to 300 guests. The tent will open for General Admission ticket holders from 1-4pm and this ticket includes complimentary wine and beer. Both pre-sale and door tickets will be limited and on-line ordering ends at midnight on April 25 or until the event sells out. This event is rain or shine.
In addition to the Flavors tent, there will be a free outdoor festival including vendors, craft market, and live musical entertainment by Cheers Elephant from 3:30-6:00.
It’s a day to celebrate all things great about East Passyunk Avenue. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.visiteastpassyunk.com or call 215-336-1455.
