Manna Bakery Brings Palestinian-Inspired Pastries and Coffee to Fishtown

Philadelphia’s bakery scene is about to welcome an exciting new addition as Manna Bakery officially opens its first brick-and-mortar location in Fishtown on Thursday, July 30.

Founded by 27-year-old chef and baker Saif Manna, the bakery has become one of Philadelphia’s most sought-after pop-ups, earning a devoted following with long lines at farmers’ markets and selling hundreds of pastries in just a few hours. What began as a college dorm room baking operation has grown into a permanent destination celebrating Palestinian and Levantine culinary traditions.

Manna Bakery’s menu is inspired by family recipes and the flavors Saif grew up with, blending traditional techniques with seasonal ingredients. Guests can expect an impressive selection of sweet and savory pastries, including Jerusalem bagels (Kaak Al Quds), chicken sumac buns, herb and cheese fatayer, seasonal manakeesh, Basque cheesecakes, cardamom buns, and a variety of cookies.

Beyond pastries, Manna has partnered with Seekers Coffee of Princeton, New Jersey, to offer a thoughtfully curated coffee program featuring single-origin coffees and specialty drinks inspired by Palestinian and Levantine flavors. Signature beverages include Rose Cardamom Lattes, Tahini Date Lattes, Cardamom Saffron Coffee, and Teta’s Orange Blossom Lemonade, a recipe passed down from Saif’s grandmother.

The new 2,800-square-foot bakery has been designed as more than just a place to grab coffee and pastries. Warm, earthy finishes, a retail “souk” featuring Levantine spices and coffee beans, and a future event space will create a welcoming gathering place where food, culture, and community come together.

Manna Bakery will be open Thursday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with expanded hours and additional offerings planned later this year.
