Bringing its famously warm cookies and comforting late-night hours to inbound and outbound Philly passengers … Insomnia Cookies, the cult favorite late-night bakery brand disrupting the indulgence category for over two decades, opened its first-ever airport location today at Philadelphia International Airport. The bakery is located in Terminal C just after the TSA checkpoint.

The airport’s newest cookie bakery is proudly part of PHL Food & Shops’ ongoing “Founded in Philly” program, celebrating shops, restaurants, and products that originated in Philadelphia. The initiative spotlights our city’s entrepreneurial spirit, placing beloved local brands front and center for millions of passengers traveling through PHL annually.

“Insomnia Cookies was born in a UPenn dorm room 22 years ago, so opening our first airport bakery at PHL feels like a full-circle moment,” said Seth Berkowitz, CEO and Founder of Insomnia Cookies. “We’re thrilled to bring warm, delicious, fresh-baked cookies to travelers from around the world as we continue our U.S. and global expansion.”

Regional, national, and international airport traffic, with numbers set to surge in 2026, will happily discover some of Insomnia Cookies’ most popular warm cookie flavors, including Double Chocolate Chunk, Confetti Deluxe, and White Chocolate Macadamia. Additionally, Insomnia’s very own “Cookies IN Ice Cream,” brookies, and Cookie’wiches — Insomnia’s cookie-filled take on the classic ice cream sandwich, will also be available. And, the new bakery will offer passengers exclusive Philadelphia-themed merchandise, including sweatshirts, water bottles, and more — perfect for on-the-go travel alongside Insomnia’s sweet product offerings.

“It’s a sweet treat indeed to welcome Insomnia Cookies to PHL, bringing passengers a true original from Philly’s local food scene,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “Perfect for late-night cravings or just a sugary send-off, Insomnia personifies the passion and innovation that defines our city, and we’re proud to share it with our travelers day and night.”

Founded in 2003 by then-University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies began as a late-night college staple. Now, the beloved bakery brand has surpassed over 350 locations globally and is on track to scale to 1,800 bakeries over the next decade.
