Celebrating its 17th year, Let Them Eat Cake – the fundraiser for Variety, the children’s charity of the Delaware Valley – will return on Sunday, March 15th from 6PM to 8PM.
Each year, over two dozen of Philadelphia’s greatest pastry chefs and bakers come together to compete in a cake competition which follows a certain theme. Bakers win awards in categories such as Best in Show, Best Taste, and Audience Choice.
Competitors include: Bredenbeck’s Bakery, Beverly’s Pastry Shop, Sweet Somethings, Gallo’s Bakery, RCBC, Walnut Hill College, The Master’s Baker, Lovely Made Cakes and more.
The charity competition is held in the Regency Ballroom at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel at 12th and Market Streets. A donation of $40 in advance, $50 at the door admits you into the event where you will have the opportunity to sample up to 40 different cakes with unlimited spirits and wine tastings (they even provide take-home containers!)
I HAVE 2 PAIR OF TICKETS TO GIVEAWAY. COMMENT BELOW ON WHY YOU’D LIKE TO WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS!
Disclaimer: I was a judge in 2018 and 2019. It’s always a great time for a great cause!
