Stateside Vodka Launches Food Truck

Stateside Vodka has launched their own food truck which will be stationed outside of the distillery located at 1700 North Hancock Street in Kensington.

Stateside’s Andrew Hueston tells me that it will be open Thursday-Sunday to accommodate the food needs of hungry visitors to the distillery’s tasting room during normal business hours: Thursday-Friday 5-10PM; Saturday 12-10PM; Sunday 12-5PM.

Featured items available on the menu:

• “Gritty Schmitty” Burger – griddled Pennsylvania beef patties, fried salami, slab bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, shoestring fried onions, lager mayo, cooper cheese, brioche

• Reuben Cheesesteak – p corned beef brisket, sauerkraut, Russian dressed onions, Swiss “whiz”, long roll

• California Banh-Mi – spicy pork belly or seared tofu, avocado, pickled radish and carrots, fresh herbs, hoisin, Ba Le roll

• BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich – braised chicken thigh, red onions, romaine heart, pickled vodka-jalapenos, Stateside infused jalapeno vodka-pineapple BBQ sauce, pretzel bun

• Bloody Mary Spiced Wings with a choice of Stateside Bloody Mary infused hot sauce or Bloody Mary spiced dry rub

You can get regular fries or Reuben fries on the side.

Also fun: Want to be crowned “King of Kensington?” If you can eat a 1 lb. burger in record time (breaking the previous record holder’s time), you get the burger ($16) for free plus a FREE bottle of Stateside Vodka. Must be 21 to enter, natch.
