• Chris’ Jazz Café – If you read my review of Chris’ Jazz Cafe, you’ll know that I recently tried an incredible Fall-inspired cocktail called “Autumn Spice.” It contains Captain Morgan Rum, house-spiced cider, a pod of star anise & a whole stick of cinnamon. It had a refreshing, yet warming quality to it. It’ll set you back $12, which is not usually Happy Hour friendly, but you certainly won’t be mad.

  

• P.J. Whelihan’s – If you’re looking for fun seasonal cocktails all $7 or under, PJs is the place to be! The “Pumpkin Pie Martini” contains Rum Chata, Three Olives vanilla vodka, pumpkin syrup, and a cinnamon sugar rim. The “Sparkling Cider Mule” has my name all over it with Tito’s vodka, sparkling cider, and ginger beer. Both drinks are $6 all day. Don’t forget half-price Wing Night every Tuesday after 3 p.m. That’s TEN WINGS for $6 – totally Dining on a Dime worthy.

• Iron Hill Brewery – With locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware, this regional gastropub is known for their signature seasonal beers such as Oktoberfest, Pumpkin Ale, and Pumpkin Coffee Stout for $2 off during Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m. You can also get $4 mixed drinks and $6 specialty cocktails. Gotta love Iron Hill!

• Savona Restaurant – located at 100 Old Gulph Rd in Gulph Mills, PA is featuring two very Autumn-forward cocktails on the menu. The “Jack-o-Lantern” features Jack Daniels, house-made pumpkin purée, nutmeg, cinnamon, Amarena nectar, and bitters. The “Smoking Love” contains tequila, apple puree, cinnamon, lime juice, and allspice nectar. Both are $9 during happy hour between 5 and 6:30 p.m.

  

How about some spooky sips?

• Ocean Prime – Located at 124 South 15^th Street in Center City, Ocean Prime is offering The Witch’s Cauldron. Mixed with Belvedere Citrus Vodka, marinated berries, house-made sour, and Domaine Chandon Brut, this cackling cocktail’s secret ingredient is dry ice, reminiscent of a real-life witch’s cauldron! The bubbling beverage will be available for just $10 on Halloween!

  

• Art in the Age – Philadelphia’s one-of-a-kind tasting room located at 116 South 3^rd Street in Old City is shaking things up a few cocktail concoctions this October. The Candied Apple cocktail features Art in the Age’s Maplejack Whiskey, apple, and cinnamon for $11. Trying to scare off the monsters? The Vampire Hex at $13 should do the trick – a martini riff made with New Liberty Distillery Powderhorn Rye vodka and garnished with a garlic-stuffed olive.

• TALK – New on the Rittenhouse scene, TALK located at 2121 Walnut Street, is offering a seasonal Apple Cocktail for only $7! Ingredients are 1 oz Kinsey rye, 1 oz cynar, 1/2 oz clarified apple juice, 4 dashes black walnut bitters, served up in a coupe, rosemary sprig, and grated nutmeg garnish.
