SUGA, the Modern Chinese restaurant in Rittenhouse Square led by Philadelphia culinary legend, Susanna Foo and her son Gabe, is excited to introduce a new selection of custom crafted cocktails and updated bar bites menu as part of the latest iteration of their happy hour program. The program, a first of many new initiatives for SUGA, marries the flavors of Susanna’s childhood and travels with Gabe’s modern and non-traditional twists.

The cocktails, normally priced up to $13, are $7 during happy hour.

A house-selected white and red by the glass are $6 and bottles of Tsingtao are $5. The happy hour that will have tongues buzzing is the Sparkling Peach Jelly Sake Shot ($5). Imported from Japan, found only at SUGA, the refreshing and slightly fizzy peach flavored sake presents like a liquid but has a jelly texture. It is also available as a specialty cocktail.

Susanna Foo’s signature style of fusion cooking with heavy nods to her varied heritage shines in the new Petite Plates menu available during happy hour giving diners delicious, yet moderately priced ($3-$6) samples of her cuisine. Snacks and easily-shared bites include:
