Sabroso + Sorbo is the exciting Spanish tapas restaurant inside The Notary Hotel by Marriott Bonvoy, located at 21 North Juniper Street in Center City. They recently announced a new chef and new menu items.
The hotel opened its doors in July 2019 in the former City Hall Annex at Penn Square. The historic 1920s era building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, now offers modern hospitality for visitors just steps from the Philadelphia Convention Center, Reading Terminal Market, and many other attractions.
Sabroso + Sorbo, the hotel’s signature all-day restaurant, features a multi-course Spanish tapas menu, an impressive range of house-made sangrias, an extensive Spanish wine list, shareable cocktails, and craft beers in a stylish setting.
New Chef Alexis Chacon, a native of Venezuela, will oversee Sabroso + Sorbo’s food operations and apply his passion for innovation to flavorful culinary experiences in his new role.
Chacon’s newest menu additions include pan-seared Spanish red snapper with wilted spinach and roasted fingerling potatoes, and 4-hour sous vide steak (with caramelized onions, red butter sauce, and haricot verts.
New desserts include red wine poached pear sorbet and burnt cheesecake.
