We both ordered off of the Restaurant Week menu, however, he opted for an optional steak upgrade which increased his price to $60. See below.
He started with the Sapphire Bramble cocktail which, at $16, may seem pricey, but it comes in a tall glass. It also includes top-shelf Bombay Sapphire gin, Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, lemon, blackberry, basil, and San Pellegrino Limonata. Delightful.
I enjoyed a glass of Vynecrest Vineyard Riesling. Vynecrest is a winery in the Lehigh Valley. This was a very good medium wine with nice floral notes. I’m going to see if my local Total Wine store has this. I definitely want a bottle!
The mini loaf of sesame bread was soft and warm and came with a salty whipped butter. Yum!
I chose the Caesar Salad and he got the Seasonal Salad because he’s all about blue cheese crumbles. Salads are great and all, but bring on the steak!
I adored my 8 oz. Filet Mignon. It was precisely seared and seasoned, then cooked to perfection; a medium-rare that was a bit more on the rare side which was A-okay with me! Next time I’ll remember to take a picture of the inside. Whoops.
Hubby’s 16 oz. dry-aged Ribeye was worth the $25 upgrade. He was pretty much speechless but proclaimed it to be one of the best steaks he’s ever had (and he’s had a lot!) Both steaks literally melted in the mouth.
He also enjoyed a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon with his steak dinner.
We ended the evening with one of each dessert: Cheesecake and Belgian Chocolate Mousse. No pics, but they were both quite good. Loved that the mousse came in a cup made out of dark chocolate. So rich & decadent!
Certainly a splurge for $151 + $25 tip. I was expecting and fully prepared to spend over $200, though. Anything for my bae. ❤
