Retro Roadmap Guide to Philadelphia

Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance is excited to host Retro Roadmap’s Mod Betty for a book launch and happy hour to celebrate her most recent Retro Roadmap: Mod Betty’s Guide to Philadelphia.

Mod Betty aka Beth Lennon, travels throughout the US highlighting authentic vintage businesses and attractions across the country via her online blog, videos, and Retro Roadmap publications. Beth highlights a multitude of Philadelphia legacy businesses in her new Philadelphia Roadmap including many cool vintage locations in the city to get things to eat that are regionally famous – from cannolis at Terminis to cheesesteaks at Joes, Dads’s stuffings, New York Bakery tomato pie, Haegles fastnachts, etc.

On Thursday, Spetember 13th, YFPA will host Mod Betty for the book launch and signing at Philadelphia Distilling at 25 East Allen Street in Fishtown during happy hour 6:00-8:00 p.m. Copies of the publication will be available for purchase and Beth will also be signing copies.

Your ticket purchase includes one drink ticket, complimentary snacks and 10% off of your Retro Roadmap book purchase. As well as a chance to check out Philadelphia Distilling’s space. Housed in the former Ajax Metal Company warehouse, the facility is an amazing example of a successful adaptive reuse in Philadelphia.
