TIFFIN Will Open First Franchise in King of Prussia Soon

Tiffin Indian Cuisine announces its first official franchise location will open in early June 2017 at Valley Forge Plaza Shopping Center less than a mile from the King of Prussia Mall. The first franchisee is Rajesh Byanjankar, a 9 year veteran of Tiffin and one the first employees.

The meteoric success of TIFFIN since its opening in 2007 is reflected not only by its own growth to 9 locations throughout Philadelphia and neighboring PA and NJ suburbs but also the spike in the number of competitors in the once marginal Indian cuisine category. Today there are more than 50 Indian restaurants operating in the same geographical area as the TIFFIN chain.

Narula is quite proud of the proliferation of Indian restaurants — some founded by former employees — spawned by his pioneering work. He is also pleased to report that the standard set by TIFFIN has the raised the bar in this fast emerging ethnic specialty cuisine.

To prepare for regional and eventually national expansion Narula has devoted the past year to upgrading the ordering technology and delivery scheduling protocols to reduce wait times. Tiffin is also preparing to introduce all new branded materials including customized takeout containers, bags and staff uniforms.

Significantly Tiffin became one of the first Indian restaurants in the US, and possibly in the world, to publish detailed nutritional information on all its menu items as required of restaurant chains of more than 20 units. Narula expects Tiffin growth to ramp up to that total number of units quite quickly over the next 18 months.

The address of the new TIFFIN is 254 W. Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA.
