Restaurateur Peter Dissin is giving lobster lovers the chance to indulge without having to travel to New England well before the summertime by introducing seven delectable lobster dishes on a new prix fixe menu at Pinefish, the seafood restaurant located at 1138 Pine Street in Philadelphia.
For a limited time, Pinefish will offer the opportunity for lobster lovers to enjoy a three-course lobster dinner for only $24.95, or a four-course dinner for $29.95. The first course features the choice of a salad or a bowl of Lobster Bisque. The second course features any vegetable on the menu, which includes options such as Fried Cauliflower with anchovies, sultanas and pine nuts; or Slow-Roasted Tomatoes with garlic rosemary breadcrumbs. For the third course, customers can choose between five different lobster dishes, all of which feature a 1.25 lb. lobster.
The lobster options available for the main course include:
Lobster Pot Pie
Vanilla Butter Poached Lobster
Lobster Fra Diavolo (shucked lobster over a bed of pasta with a spicy, tomato sauce)
Lobster Savannah (cream reduction sauce with mushrooms, dry sherry, brandy and Parmigiano-Reggiano and topped with red peppers)
The four-course menu includes a Lobster Crème Brûlée for dessert. “Vanilla and lobster are considered a perfect pairing,” said Dissin, who offers the dessert a-la-carte for $8. “The sweetness of the lobster meat perfectly compliments the vanilla and caramelized sugar in the Crème Brûlée. The dish is incredibly decadent, and I’m excited to see our guests’ reactions.”
Pinefish features fresh seafood compositions, a raw bar, lobsters, steaks, buck-a-shuck oysters and a full bar inside a Boho chic space at the corner of 12th and Pine Streets. The restaurant is open seven days a week for dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m.
