#PhillyFeast Social

The National Liberty Museum, Le Pierre Caterers and The Chef’s Publicist are presenting the PhillyFeast Social, a citywide showcase of the finest international and local Philadelphia artists and culinary experts. PhillyFeast Social will take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia.

The aim of the social is to bolster discussion and connections between members of the Philadelphia art and foodie scene. Participants will enjoy the limited engagement PoliticalFest exhibition on loan exclusively to the Museum from the Democratic National Convention, live music from local artists, cooking demonstrations from an internationally renowned chef, and contests for prizes.

PhillyFeast Social will spotlight the Museum’s “Heroes of Liberty” exhibits celebrating individuals historic and contemporary, such as Malala Yousafzai, Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa, as well as everyday citizens whose courageous and inspiring achievements have advanced freedom for all in our country and around the world. Participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy a private, curated tour of the “Life at the White House” exhibits on loan to the National Liberty Museum for the DNC’s PoliticalFest.

The internationally renowned Chef Lucmann Pierre, owner and executive chef of Le Pierre Caterers, will perform a live cooking demonstration during the event preparing Philadelphia inspired menu items such as gourmet Philly cheesesteak sliders, Philadelphia Cream Cheese and jalapeno meatballs, Chicken Philly farfalle pasta and other dishes. Other highlights and featured participants include Chef Mona Wilson, as seen on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars; and Jeleata Nicole, known for painting the West Virginia Donkey outside the National Liberty Museum building. The program will also feature live stream coverage of the DNC in the museum’s Liberty Theatre.

Monies generated from the PhillyFeast Social will benefit Loving Our Cities, an organization dedicated to improving social justice through art and food community engagements including Perfecting Chords, The Perfect Thanksgiving and other local food pantries.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at http://phillyfeastsocial2016.eventbrite.com.
