There’s been considerable buzz about Not Your Father’s Root Beer on the East Coast in recent months.
The extremely popular soda-inspired beer, brewed by Small Town Brewery of Wauconda, Illinois, is selling briskly in the greater Philadelphia area. It’s a smooth, silky ale brewed with spices that both craft beer aficionados and people who don’t normally drink beer have been clamoring over.
In our area, it’s sold only in bottles at beer distributors in Pennsylvania or liquor stores in New Jersey. It has been available on draft in Illinois only. But that is soon changing.
In fact, Not Your Father’s Root Beer draft is coming to Philadelphia and Crabby’s Cafe and Sports Bar, 1050 N. Hancock Street, in the Piazza in Northern Liberties will be one of the first establishments to have it available on draft.
Reps from Small Town Brewery will be at Crabby’s today to tap the keg between 5pm-7pm and they will be buying beer for the patrons. This is your opportunity to be one of the first in Philadelphia to have a pint!
