Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Launches Dining Partnership with Indego Bike Share

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar has announced a new partnership with Indego, Philadelphia’s bike share program. It is the first collaboration between Indego and a Philadelphia restaurant since the program launched earlier this year.

Cuba Libre Indego Collaboration

Bike share riders can show their server their Indego key during lunch, brunch or dinner, every day of the week, for a complimentary small Pineapple Guacamole Cubano with any food purchase of $15 or more.

The classic tapas item features features avocado, grilled golden pineapple, roasted jalapeños, fresh lime juice and extra virgin olive oil, and is served with crispy plantain chips. Sounds & looks extra delicious to us – see close-up below!

Barry Gutin, Principal and Co-Founder of Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar said, “With the number of Indego members increasing by the day, and so many Indego stations located just a few blocks from the restaurant, we hope to be the go-to dining destination for hungry riders.”

The restaurant kicked off the partnership with a launch event on July 26, when Philadelphia bike share advocates rode to Cuba Libre with a group of Indego members to the 2nd & Market bike docking station, then walked to Cuba Libre for their free tapas treat. The event was organized by Kristin Gavin, the Founder of Gearing Up, a non-profit organization that provides women in transition from addiction, incarceration and abuse with the practical skills necessary to integrate biking into their lifestyle.

If you’re an Indego member, you should take advantage of this delicious perk. Skip the plantains and give them to me if you’re health-conscious. 🙂
